Rezo Kveselava, born in 1933 in the village of Nakharebo, Martvili district. He is a Georgian writer, film screenwriter and teacher. He graduated from the Faculty of German Studies at the Institute of Foreign Languages and Literature. For many years he worked as an editor at the Georgian film studio Kartuli Pilmi. He (co-)wrote the screenplays of many Georgian films, such as The Plea (1967), The Way Home (1983), Repentance (1984), Ceiling (2004), Caucasian Mysteries (2006) and others. In 2008 he published his book Memories on Georgian Filmmakers, a collection of his memories about Georgian cinema based on material previously published in various Georgian magazines. He also worked as a teacher (I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University) and a translator (N. Berdyaev, K. Hamsun, V. Nubokov, L. Feuchtwanger, etc.).
