Rezo Kveselava (1933-2024) was born and died in the small village of Nakharebo, Martvili district. He is a Georgian literator, film screenwriter and teacher. He graduated from the Faculty of German Studies at the Institute of Foreign Languages and Literature. He worked as an editor at the Georgian film studio Kartuli Pilmi for many years. He is (co-)writer of the screenplays of many Georgian films, such as The Plea (1967), Chronicles of XIX century Georgia (1978), The Way Home (1981), Repentance (1984), Ceiling (2004), The Caucasian Mysteries of Knut Hamsun (2006) and others. In 2008 Sa.Ga. published his book Memories on Georgian Filmmakers, a collection of his memories about Georgian cinema based on material previously published in various Georgian journals and magazines. He is the author of publications Things for Us (2012), and Until I Am with You (2024). He worked as a lecturer (I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University) and translator (N. Berdyaev, K. Hamsun, V. Nabokov, L. Feuchtwanger, etc.).
