A collection of texts by Soviet avant-garde filmmaker, documentary film director and theorist, Dziga Vertov (1896-1954) Man with a Movie Camera includes WE: Variant of a Manifesto (1922); the creative manifesto by Kinoks creative group, which was founded by Vertov; and Kinoks, his articles on film theory. The book also includes The Coup (1923), From Kino-Eye to Radio-Eye (1929) and the screenplay version of the film Man with a Movie Camera (1929). Vertov’s innovative film Man with a Movie Camera still remains a practical model of modern cinema.
The book includes a foreword by Oksana Bulgakowa, a specialist on Soviet Avant-Garde Film.
