Tessa Knapp  is an artist and professor who specializes in space- and time-based media art.  In her lecture, she will explore how artistic creation can describe and  initiate transformative forces in media-critical, socio-political and introspective  spaces.
During her  talk, she will share insights into her creative processes, which incorporate  performative, participatory, and intermedia practices involving moving images,  sound, voice, text, light, the body, and space.
She will  conclude with a presentation of student work, showcasing some of the  videographic, sculptural and performative approaches to space- and time-based  art by her class. She will also present two curated video programmes by  students at the Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences in Germany.
